Savannah Lowery, staff writer

Savannah Lowery is a sophomore in Jacksonville High School and fifteen years old. She is an after school horseback rider on Wednesdays and a worker on Saturdays at the horse farm. She loves to write novels of her own, and she reads books nearly every day nonstop. Her novels aren’t yet published, but they are named the Sage Songbird saga. The story is about a young girl in a dystopian fantasy world where kids fight against all odds for survival. Savannah loves to spend time with animals, friends, and family in her own time, and she adores humorous stories. She spends most of her time writing since it’s her passion. Her ideal look for the day is a cozy jacket, blue jeans, and Converse sneakers, along with her everyday glasses, of course. Her plans or hopes are to grow up and be an author with her own published series for young adults. She also hopes to do well in college and dream bigger than most kids would with her stories. She believes that if she excels in journalism, she will be a better writer and a more observant informer on the world around her. Savannah loves chocolate treats, and she is a meat lover for everything. She enjoys watching science-fiction or medieval television shows like The Maze Runner, The Hunger Games, or Arcane. She enjoys kid-like outdoor games like tag and jumping on the trampoline, and occasionally playing video games like Minecraft and Battlefront. She is also focused on her place in the world and what memories she will leave behind with the people she meets and the stories she writes.
