“This is the type of winter the American public needs to prepare for,” Dr. Boris Scveidok, a meteorologist who has studied global weather for 40 years, stated when talking about the upcoming 2014-15 winter. “Meteorologists and weather science experts at the National Weather Service say that there is a 99% chance that we will start to see a massive cold-front sooner in the year than has ever happened…” he explained. On top of this, there is already talk of snow continuing all the way through June.
If that doesn’t seem bad enough, Dr. Scvediok also predicted the Northeast, Ohio Valley, and Midwestern states will get hit the hardest. These claims lead to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) anticipating shortages, causing the prices of bread and milk to increase. Officials are encouraging people to take action sooner rather than later, buying food in bulk and cold-weather necessities such as coats, gloves, and hats.
Meteorologist, Edward F. Blankenbaker, said he believes this will be the once-in-a-lifetime winter. “Pretty much everyone will see snow like they never have in their lives. Most young people don’t know what an actual blizzard looks like, but by the end of March, they will be seasoned survivalists.”
Whether you believe in this or not, you better believe that this winter will be one to remember.
