J’ettes continue tradition with Pom Revue

Anna Bezler, Staff Writer

The J’ette dance team just recently had their annual Fall Pom Revue. Might I say, it was not a show to miss. Prior to the night of the performance, the J’ettes hosted a fall dance clinic for kids from pre-school through 8th grade. All the campers got the chance to learn dances from the J’ettes themselves. They all got a cute t-shirt and had tons of fun. But the fun didn’t stop there. All of the campers got to come and perform the dance they learned for the huge audience at the Pom Revue the next night.

The next day, the Pom Revue started at 6:00 p.m. at the JHS Bowl. The whole night started with a stellar performance from all nineteen of the J’ettes. That was a great way to get the night started. It was then followed by the camp routines, which were super fun and all so cute. The Turner Cheer Squad performed, and there were performances from Sara’s Studio of Dance and Stevens School of Dance. About half way through the show, J’Crew came out and took their spots for the dance they had performed at the JHS Homecoming pep rally. It is always fun to watch the boys try to dance like the J’ettes. I think almost the whole audience was laughing. The whole night slowly came to an end as the J’ettes took the floor for the last time. They finished strong with a high energy pom routine. It was a very enjoyable night for all the performers along with family and friends.

This whole night was made possible by the J’ettes, their parents, and the coaches. They raised a bunch of money for their team and had tons of fun while doing it. The Fall Pom Revue was a great way to kick off a new season for the Jacksonville J’ettes.
