This past Wednesday, September 24, the new tradition for homecoming week was on for its second year, Iron Man Volleyball. The first matchup was juniors versus sophomores, and it was not pretty. Trouble with service gave the sophomores a hard time and gave away the game to the juniors with a score of 25-20.
Then it was the seniors’ turn to rock the freshmen, which they did. Strong underhand serves and big hits at the net gave the senior boys a fast lead on the freshmen. Strong kills from Austin Enz and AJ Underwood gave the freshmen no chance at coming back. The seniors won 25-11.
The championship game was a best-of-three match between the senior class and the sophomore class. Sophomore Drew Haggerty gave the senior team a really rough time. He had multiple blocks and tons of kills, but it was not enough to keep our senior boys from taking home the victory. After two games to 25, the senior boys were victorious. The final scores were 25-15 and 25-20.
