No one says it better than Phineas and Ferb, “There’s 104 days of summer vacation, and school comes along just to end it. So the annual problem for our generation is finding a good way to spend it…” Summer seems to come and go as quick as anything and most of the time it ends, and I feel like I didn’t do anything. An easy solution to that would be to make a list of things to do during the summer, whether it is only 10 things or 100, it would be something to look forward to.
So here is my list and maybe some ideas for others.
1. Go camping even if it is in the back yard
2. Write a short story in a day
3. Go to a creek with someone special
4. A random road trip playing I Spy and Slug Bug
5. Go to a park for a whole day
6. Race with grocery carts
7. Build a fort in the living room with things around the house
8. Be bold for a day
9. Play hide and seek somewhere with a lot of space, hiding spaces, and a lot of friends
10. 80’s movies marathon
11. Spend a day at a library or Barnes and Nobles
12. Cinnamon challenge
13. Chubby Bunny challenge with the big marshmallows
14. Learn how to say hello in five different languages
15. Spend the whole night at Walmart with someone
16. Get a job
17. Walk around town on a Sunday afternoon
18. Tell someone something you’ve been wanting to tell
19. Randomly start loudly singing and dancing in a store with a friend
20. Girls’ night out
21. Random surprise party
22. Go swimming
23. Make new friends
24. Learn to cook something different
25. Paint balling
26. Roller skating
27. Make smores
28. Go to the lake
29. Eat watermelon
30. Try to finish writing the book
Summer is about relaxing and not having all the responsibilities of school, to do something random or that you’ve wanted to do, but never had the time. Have fun and enjoy your summer!
