This year at JHS Idol, eight contestants sang and took the chance to be JHS’s 2014 Idol winner. Only one could become this year’s winner, the well-deserved title went to Brooklynn Elaine Brogdon. She worked on her song, “Read all about it,” for one week and had several close friends prepping her for her big moment. She sang beautifully, pleased the crowd, and looked amazing doing it.
Brooklynn is a hard worker in everything she sets her mind to do and is an all-around bubbly person. She is loved by many and has shown her talents on the JHS stage. Brooke’s competition also sang very well. First runner-up was Joe Hymes and his stage performance was awesome. He was involved and moved around, very passionate about his song. The judges loved him and looked pleased while he was singing his country song. The second runner-up was Carmyn Saxer, a sophomore who rocked the stage as well. She also performed with enthusiasm and really enjoyed herself and her time on stage.
Everyone who decided to try-out for auditions and made it should be very proud of themselves. One word that comes to mind is bravery, when it involves singing in front of almost all of your peers. Everyone sang beautifully and looked awesome at the 2014 JHS Idol. Congratulations to Brooklynn Brogdon for opening up to her crowd and winning all of our hearts with her song and taking this year’s Idol title!
