This school year has been rolling through the months! It’s October which means that the German students are here! Here at JHS, we were given eighteen German students to house and show our world. There are three boys and fifteen girls, and they all have really good people to watch over them while they are here!
Timo Püffel is staying at David Albers’s house. I’m sure Timo will have a ton of fun staying at his house because David is definitely a funny guy!
Friederike Nehring is staying with Lucy Deal. Friederike is learning Spanish and English; she likes relaxing, watching TV, and fast food restaurants.
Karoline Heuer is staying with Lauren McQueen. Karoline thinks that the toilets in the United States are weird; she likes bubbles, and she’s learning Latin and French. She also likes big cookies!
Jan-Hinrich Besenthal and Nicholas Böhrendt are staying with Caleb Cole.
Johanna Freistedt is staying with Victoria Covell.
Merle Hillmer is staying with Lydia Beard.
Luisa Gade and Maria-Nell Reese are staying with Jennie Stare.
Wiebke Harms is staying with Anna Fergurson.
Friederike Heuer is staying with Clara Lee.
Johanna Hillmer and Theresa Warnecke are staying with Katie Shafer.
Xenia Kiehne is staying with Allie Behrends.
Sophia Mahnke is staying with Allison Hardwick.
Friederike Spöring is staying with Hannah Scobbie.
Lynn Pommerien is staying with Allison and Carissa Hewitt.
Sinah Wingert is staying with Emily Corbridge.
I did not get a chance to interview all of the German students, but I’m glad they are all still here so I can get the chance to talk to them! They are here for three weeks, and they have many fun activities planned! I hope everyone has an opportunity to meet them, and also that they have a great time in Jacksonville.
