The Jacksonville J’ettes’ season has officially started. On Saturday, November 15, the J’ettes hosted their yearly J’ette Pom Revue fundraiser. This event consists of several different routines performed by the J’ettes, Sara’s Studio, Steven’s Gym, Turner Poms, the JHS Drumline, and the Pom Revue campers.
On Friday, November 14, the J’ettes held a camp for grades Kindergarten through 8. During this camp, each grade was taught a routine which they later performed for their parents in the JHS auditorium. The Turner Pom squad also learned a dance during the camp. This year, the J’ettes tried something new. They taught a Hip Hop routine for young boys grades K through 6 which opened for the J’ettes yearly J’Crew routine. All these routines were again performed the next night at the J’ette Pom Revue. Overall, the Pom Revue fundraiser was a success with a large crowd and many performances from groups all over Jacksonville.
It’s great to see a community come work together at events like these. Jacksonville has an abundance of talent that shines on nights like these.
