Ashlyn Myers, the star senior pitcher for the Jacksonville High softball team, is off to another great season. Ashlyn has been starting varsity since she was a freshman. In her first three season, Ashlyn has led the Crimsons to two winning seasons. In the two winning seasons, Myers was named team MVP. She has received the honor of All-Conference in all three of her complete varsity seasons. Her hard work in the classroom allowed her to receive Academic All-conference her sophomore and junior seasons. Myers also has to her credit a JHS pitching record. Ashlyn has struck-out more batters than anyone in the history of Jacksonville softball, and she still has some season left to increase her total. At this point in the season, Myers has a batting average of .585, which leads the team. To go along with her ability to hit for average, she also has hit two homeruns. Ashlyn is finishing her senior season out on a very high note as she tries to end her career with three straight winning seasons.
After the season is over and she graduates, Myers plans to attend Maryville University. At Maryville she plans to major in physical therapy.
