After leading his Turner 8th grade team to a 20-win, one loss season, Brady Hays is at it again. The 6”2’ freshman guard has seen a huge increase of playing time and productivity in the last few weeks of the season at the varsity level. Hays is proving that not only can he hold his own in the stacked Central State 8 conference, but he can be a difference maker for the Jacksonville Crimsons.
At the beginning of the season, Hays was starting for the sophomore team. Now he no longer plays any sophomore ball on nights where there are both a sophomore and a varsity game. On these nights, he is strictly a varsity player.
During the off-season, Hays plays for two teams, the Jacksonville Blaze and the Springfield Predators. He plays in tournaments all around the Midwest area against some very good competition.
In his free time Hays he enjoys shooting hoops and working out it the small gym his family owns in Lynnville. Brady has aspirations to one day play college basketball at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE).
Make sure to keep an eye open for Jacksonville basketball these next few years as the Crimsons will be led by Brady Hays.
