Monday and Tuesday were great confidence boosters for the Lady Crimsons, beating both Decatur Eisenhower and Springfield Southeast by over ten runs each.
In Decatur Monday, JHS started off strong by putting up 11 runs in the first inning. The girls scored every inning and ended with 15 total hits in the game with Rachel Hall, Brisco Esquivel, and Emily Graham getting three hits each. Ashlyn Myers took the win on the mound, ending with a score of 22-0.
Continuing in their streak, the girls came to play on Tuesday against Springfield Southeast. Not only did Myers pick up the win on the mound with 11 strikeouts she also hit a homerun, a triple, and had four RBIs. The girls didn’t score in every inning but came out on top in the end with a score of 18-3.
The girls improved to 7-8 and 1-6 in the CS8 and play at Routt at 4:30 on Friday.
