The JHS girls’ basketball team was very disappointed in their loss against Quincy Tuesday night. In the season opener, the Crimsons were very close to starting their season with a win against their rival, Quincy. At halftime, the Crimsons lead 26-20 but lost control of the game in the second half. Jaelyn Keene, Olivia Kaufmann, Cydny Saxer, and Christin Sanders all put points on the board.
Senior Jennie Stare said going into the game the girls were confident, yet nervous. She also said that the freshmen played a very big role in the game and followed the way the upperclassmen worked as a team.
“It was a disappointing loss, but we know what we need to work on before our game on Friday,” said Cydny Saxer.
The Crimsons will be playing in the Taylorville Invite this weekend and next weekend where they are expected to play very well.
