Last Friday’s JHS football game landed the team a spot in playoffs for post season. They played against Breese Mater Dei, the ending score was 41-14, Jacksonville.
Because JHS scored so high and this was their fifth win of the season, they are now qualified for the playoffs on Saturday, October 27th.
The boys are practicing hard and will fight hard when the time comes. They’re keeping their spirits up while they prepare for a hard game.
Senior team member, Aaron Vasquez, said, “I think we will go really far. Our team’s mindset is really high and the only team that can beat Jacksonville is Jacksonville.”
The rankings for playoffs are set up from the biggest schools to the smaller schools. Jacksonville’s playoff game will be Saturday the 27th against Centralia.
“I think that we’re going to go as far as we believe we’re going to go. Our team has enough talent to go to state,” said Vasquez.
The whole team is ready for playoffs and is working hard towards their goal, winning state. As the whole school cheers them on in the bleachers, the boys will know, no matter the outcome, the entire student body will be proud of how far they’ve come this season.
Congratulations on making playoffs, boys!
