The world around us is constantly changing– seeming to grow smaller and smaller with each passing day. Social media draws us closer together while exposing our lives for anyone to see; and this is the most pivotal time in our lives.
All around the world, high school students try to figure out how to deal with the crazy hodgepodge that is life; and everyone finds little tricks to help them survive.
Relationships, school, jobs, getting your first car, getting your wisdom teeth pulled, going on dinner dates, and feeling like you’re all grown up– these things are a part of teenage life and they can lead to stressful situations.
High school leads to college which then leads to living on your own– a thought which utterly terrifies many teenagers; however, if you live in the moment and stop worrying about the future, transition should come easily and smoothly. Focus on being successful now– if you want a successful future.
Teenage years are the golden years– the years to which many wish they could return, but with bodies changing and stress up to your eyeballs, you may not think that right now. As we grow older, there are bills to pay and things that just have to be done– but with time you can adjust to any situation.
Some ways of coping with the stress of growing up are better than others. You are at a time in your life where many of your peers may be turning to illegal drugs, suicide, or acting in ways they never have before; however, there is a better way to deal with your stress. Breathe, relax and have fun in a safe and positive way.
The best advice anyone can give you is to take this life one day at a time– and remember that you are only human, so mistakes can and will happen. Your job, your education, and your future are yours to control– You have choices and as long as you make the best ones for your circumstance, your teenage years will be beautiful.
