January is national bath safety month. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you, but bath-related accidents happen a lot more than you would even care to think. I understand an elderly person maybe needing some assistance to get out of the bath or shower and all that business, but the fact is if you don’t have enough balance or strength to get out of the bath tub as a healthy teenager or adult without a safety bar or spotter, do you really deserve the privilege of taking a bath? I say no but the fact is people actually do get hurt, and I believe its ethical to open people’s eyes to the dangers of bath taking to make the experience a little more enjoyable and safe. If you’re a baby like my nephew, Quest, I wouldn’t expect you to just get up and hop in the shower after you spill some food on you like babies tend to, seeing as he just turned one moth old just a little bit ago. But, come on, if you’re giving a baby a bath use your common sense, don’t leave the baby by itself, I know you may have left a plate of pizza rolls in the microwave, but honestly would you risk the life of a baby for a plate of pizza rolls? If you are even considering going to get that plate, why are you in charge of that baby? Give it back to someone who would take care of it.
