Johnny Manziel, commonly known as “Johnny Football,” is a quarterback most recently at Texas A&M. He was known at A&M for his prolific style of extending plays and eluding defenders. At times it seemed like he just couldn’t get tackled. During his freshman year at A&M, he was the first freshman to win the Heisman trophy. During his sophomore season at A&M, Manziel accounted for more than 4,000 yards through the air and threw for 26 touchdowns during his sophomore year. In his second season at A&M, he threw for 37 touchdowns and came up second to last in the Heisman race. During what would be Manziel’s last game as an Aggie at A&M with his team down 38-17, Manziel shocked everybody and came back to win the game 52-48. This leaves in question is Johnny Manziel the best football player to every play football on any level? Yes, without a doubt yes. Through his college years everybody knew him and he was just the man. Although he had some off-field problems when he was accused of signing autographs for money, he still had a wonderful time on and off the field. Sure he made some mistakes, but he is only human. Everybody makes mistakes. Let’s take a look at the other quarterbacks in the SEC, actually you know what I’m not going to show you the other quarterbacks because they’re not as good as Johnny Manziel so it would be a waste of your time and mine. What I’m trying to say is Johnny Manziel will forever be the idol of teenagers who play football and like to have a good timedoing it. If there are any doubters saying that he didn’t win a national championship like AJ McCarron, my only response is that he won the Heisman as a freshman.
