Is it a fashion statement or a way of life? In my eyes, the mullet is a symbol of everything that is great about this nation. When you see a mullet, not only do you think back to the glory days of this country, but you think back to how simple things used to be, back when music wasn’t made on computers and the cost of gas was $1.99. Yes, I am talking about the golden years of recent history- the 1980’s.
Back in the 80’s if you didn’t have a mullet, you weren’t socially accepted. In my eyes, that’s how it needs to be now. Not only are mullets attractive to the eye, but they also show power and responsibility. I’m not trying to persuade you to grow a mullet per say; I’m just shining some light on some of the positives there are to having a mullet. First, your neck will never get sun burnt when you’re at the beach. Secondly, people will just downright respect you. They will see you with a mullet and they’ll think that person really has his or her head on straight. However great everybody thinks the mullet is, there will always be nay sayers. When I asked my classmate Annie Deal if she liked mullets, she said, “No.” However don’t let the opinion of Annie bring you down. The mullet is the right way to go.
