All around the world, everyone needs help from time to time. We all bare struggles in life, and they all range from different extremes. If you see someone who looks like he or she is in pain or see someone alone, do a favor and give a helping hand.
Mr. Rogers, famous TV sensation, said, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” Things can appear to be scary, no matter what age you are, but there are those people out there who go above and beyond to help. Even though they have their own problems and they have their own lives, they do the smallest things that make someone’s day or help them out.
Holding the door open for another person, donating the things you don’t have use for anymore, being genuinely nice to someone who seems down–there are many things you could do to be kind. Being kind should be something you not only want to do but strive to do. Helping out those who need it could help you with your own problems or just put you in a better mood.
What do random acts of kindness really mean? It means doing any size of service randomly without any expectation of something in return; doing the right thing anywhere you are for someone else selflessly. Whether school, work, church, the store, or anywhere else where you encounter people or pass them, try to go the extra mile or two and do something nice for others.
All around the world, everyone needs help to get through the day or the week or the year. Give a helping hand to someone; I’m sure their day will get a little brighter. Strive to be altruistic in all things, hope for only the good, and be your best kind self!
