Christmas is quickly making its approach and along with this comes buying gifts. Something that always seems to frustrate me is how hard some people are to buy for. Some are just too picky while others have everything you can imagine! So what exactly do you buy these people? No fear, here are some great ideas for those hard to buy for friends and family on your list!
Buying for my parents is something that always stresses me out. Over the years, I think I have bought my mom over twenty candles and have bought my dad as many Cardinal jerseys as he needs. Here are some unique gift ideas that they won’t have to pretend to be happy to see.
Moms always need a new cake pan, so try a personalized cake dish. If she’s really big into jewelry, get her a nice necklace, ring, or bracelet. If you don’t think she’d like either of those, one thing I’m sure any mom would appreciate is a gift card for a massage.
Grilling can be a big thing for some dads, so you can never go wrong with a grilling cookbook. If cooking isn’t his forte, try getting him an organizer for his tools and offer to help clean up the garage one day over break. (I don’t think spending an hour or two with him will kill you!) An all-around great gift for any dad would have to be a wallet; every dad carries one.
Someone else people tend to think is extremely hard to buy for is a boyfriend or a girlfriend.
Guys, one thing any girl likes is jewelry. It doesn’t have to be a promise ring or some blingy, bulky bracelet that is $500. There are many places in town where you can buy a cute piece of jewelry for under $20. If you really don’t think your girlfriend would like that, buy her favorite movie and plan a movie night.
Boyfriends are extremely hard to buy for. Try staying away from the cologne and lean more towards concert tickets to see his favorite band. If music isn’t really his thing, you can never go wrong with a video game!
One of the hardest things for me to think of is those secret Santa gifts that have to be less than $10.
Something most people like is some holiday themed chocolate. Maybe try the tree from A Charlie Brown Christmas as a little holiday humor. A book filled with funny cat pictures will be sure to fill the room with laughter. The most unique item I’ve seen online this holiday season is a magic wand that acts as a remote control for your TV.
Whoever you’re shopping for this holiday season, buy them something special and make it something they’ll remember for a very long time.
