Much preparation has gone into the arrival of the newest royal, and on May 2, the princess entered the world at eight pounds and three ounces, instantly becoming one of the most-talked-about global individuals. “Royal baby” reached the fourth most searched keywords on Google on the day of and the day following her birth. Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was introduced to the media just over twelve hours after her birth, but it was not until two days later that her name was revealed.
The name includes many familial influences, paying homage to both paternal and maternal sides of the family. Charlotte is the feminine version of the name Charles as well as the middle name of Pippa Middleton, the Duchess’s sister. Elizabeth comes from the baby’s great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and it is also the maternal grandmother’s middle name. Diana, perhaps the most popularized rumored name of the young princess, most certainly comes from Prince William’s late mother, Diana.
According to some tabloids, conspiracy theories were born after the public saw the Duchess looking flawless as ever, Russian newspapers claimed that the baby was carried by a surrogate, or Kate was smuggled into the hospital in the days previous. Plenty of other ridiculous rumors surfaced on the web after the official presentation. For example, many people are convinced that the reason the young princess wore a bonnet was because she is a ginger like her Uncle Harry.
Regardless of whether or not these rumors are true, the royal family is unconcerned and currently enjoying the grace period at their country residence in Norfolk, Anmer Hall, before Prince William returns to his air ambulance training on June 1. Middleton plans to stay with their children to bond with the baby and help young George adjust to the new addition to the family.
Presently, the world watches with adoring eyes, ensuring the baby an extremely loved and extremely public future.
