Since 2012, the Preservation of the JHS Bowl Committee has worked to bring attention and action in restoring the JHS Bowl along with fundraising for the JHS Bowl Fund. The committee has worked to make improvements to the Bowl such as fixing water fountains and sinks, adding signage, painting, and refinishing the floor and bleachers. In 2015, the committee hopes to build on the interior improvements and focus on the exterior. Projects include: painting, fixing
guttering, fixing broken sidewalks and the addition of a brick walkway between the south doors of the Bowl.
The committee invites you to be part of the preservation of the JHS Bowl. Your personally engraved brick will be engraved and installed as part of a newly constructed walkway on the south side of the JHS Bowl set to be constructed in 2015. A minimum number of bricks must be sold in order for the walkway to be built. If sales targets are not met your money will be returned. Please provide good contact information.
We encourage all Crimson fans and supporters to create a lasting tribute or memorial through purchasing a brick. It is a great way to recognize a Crimson fan, teacher or coach, current JHS student or past JHS alumni, family member or business. It is a lasting way to commemorate someone who loves Jacksonville and the JHS Bowl.
Proceeds from the sale of the bricks will be donated to the Jacksonville Public Schools Foundation’s JHS Bowl Fund and used to create the memorial walkway and proceeds will be used for preserving the JHS Bowl and helping to fund a long term endowment.
Please complete and return the brick order form and payment to purchase your Crimson brick(s) today. If you have any questions please contact Kristan Becker Hoffman at 217-370-0853 or email thejhsbowl@hotmail.com. More forms can be found at www.jacksonvillebowl.org
Thank you for your continued support,
