A Jacksonville, Illinois, tradition that was been going on since 1985 has come back around. It has been the talk of the month of September. Cruise night invites all families and out of town guests to come to Jacksonville and ride around for a while. This event brings in classic and antique autos for a weekend of fun for the whole family and then continues on Sunday for a car show!
As the sidewalks flooded with people, the streets got busier and busier as the cars drove up and down, strutting their vehicles. Everyone huddled in different locations: McDonalds, Hardees, Arby’s. Many businesses were pleased by the amount of customers that filled their restaurants. It truly was a night to remember! Teenagers, the elderly, children, and adults all sat out or walked around the traffic as they pointed out their favorites vehicles. Many pictures were taken and memories were made so it would be wise to come around next year for the fun!
