Every month at the faculty meeting, awards are given to a teacher. Each teacher passes the award to another to make a continuous line that will go on to the end of the year. For the month of September, Susan Blose, a recently retired JHS counselor gave away the “You Make a Difference” award to Mrs. Casey Zang.
Mrs. Zang teaches in the Social Studies department here at JHS and has been here for a few years. Casey is the type of teacher, advisor, and/or friend that is someone to depend on. She always cares for her students and co-workers and is willing to take time out of her day to lend a hand. With her great teaching style, she helps many of her students not only pass her class but does it with a brain full of knowledge. It’s truly amazing to see someone so giving and kind as her to get the “You Make a Difference” award. When you think of an award that requires service and charity for teachers, many come to mind. Every month someone new gets the award and is recognized for his/her good doings. This award is NOT specifically meant for one or two teachers. “You Make a Difference” award goes out to all of those teachers at our school who make an everlasting impression on their students and co-workers, serving as a role model to everyone.
Congratulations, Mrs. Casey Zang, for making a difference and being a great JHS example for the month of September!
