Oktoberfest, a relatively new festival to Jacksonville, is October 6th at the Morgan County Fairgrounds.
If you’re a fan of German culture, weiner dog races, refreshments, and fall, you’ll love Oktoberfest. Other than the very popular weiner dog races, the festival will have the Heidelberg German Band, Hipbone Sam, beer and wine tasting, washers tournaments, and bouncy castles.
Thanks to Jacksonville Rotary Club, we can enjoy this seasonal and cultural event. Our own assistant dean of students, Tony Williams, is president of Jacksonville Rotary Club. He is involved in the Rotary’s giving and loves working for Jacksonville and its residents. The Rotary is responsible for the running of the Big Eli #17 Ferris Wheel in Community Park, JHS Interact Club, the 4th of July Parade and Celebration, and much more. We hope to see you enjoy Oktoberfest.
