With the new school year, it seems that some of our fellow classmates have forgotten how to dress appropriately for a regular school day.
Here is a list of proper attire:
- Hoods, bandanas, and sunglasses are not to be worn in the building. Safety glasses are not to be worn outside of the classes that require them.
- Shoes must be worn at all times. House slippers or roller skate shoes are not permitted.
- Students may not wear pants that sag or with holes above fingertip length.
- Shirts which have sleeves and cover the torso of the body are required.
- Clothes must be free of inscriptions which may be interpreted as being vulgar, inflammatory or suggestive.
- Garments, jewelry, belt buckles, etc. that tend to promote the idea of substance abuse, sexual behavior, or other vulgar or suggestive symbols are not acceptable. Pocket chains, necklaces, piercings or spiked jewelry may be considered a physical danger to the student or to other students and may be confiscated.
- Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be fingertip length or longer.
- Apparel that identifies a student as a member of a gang or a secret society will not be permitted.
- Face painting unless authorized by the administration is strictly prohibited.
Most of these dress code requirements are self-explanatory, but in case you need a refresher, you can always refer back to your agenda (page 18-19) or this list.
Thanks and be RED!
