Chipman earns Illinois Assistant Principal of the year award

Abby Mitchell, Staff Writer

If you know Mr. Chipman, you know how deserving he is of the Assistant Principal of the year award for the state of Illinois. Chipman is a person to always greet you with a smile, lend a helping hand, and ask you how you are doing– while meaning it. Not only does Mr. Chipman seem kind, but in reality, he truly is. Many teachers do a great job at teaching, but Chipman takes an entirely different approach.

Mr. Chipman has been an administrator at Jacksonville High School for three years but has been in the education field for 16 years. During his time in the classroom, he passionately taught English Language Arts. He is a great JHS administrator simply because of his personality.

Mr. Chipman seems to look at the world and our school as one giant classroom where he is able to teach students lessons of life and education each and every day. He is caring, bright, and enthusiastic, making him the perfect recipient for the Illinois Assistant Principal of the year award.
