A manuscript was found recently written by the well-known children’s author, Dr. Seuss. Other manuscripts were found that will be able to complete at least two more books. Dr. Seuss’s book “What Pet Should I Get?” is coming out July 28.
Audrey Geisel, Dr. Suess wife, remodeled her home shortly after his death and found a box full of sketches and text but had set it aside with his other things. It was rediscover 22 years later by his wife and her long-time secretary, Claudia Prescott, while cleaning out his office.
“While undeniably special, it is not surprising to me that we found this because Ted always worked on multiple projects and started new things all the time — he was constantly writing and drawing and coming up with ideas for new stories,” said Audrey in a statement about her husband.
It’s a miracle more of his books have not surfaced with the amount of love he had for writing. Dr. Suess enthusiasts will rejoice at all the new works that are being found.
