Becoming the infamous Peter Pan

Mikaela Moorman, Staff Writer

The unforgettable Peter Pan and his companion Tinkerbell have always been an iconic story for every child and even adult, but the timeless child’s story is now being told from the beginning. From the orphanage in London to a magical world called Neverland where Peter got whisked away into a world of danger and excitement surrounded by pirates, natives from Neverland, and miraculous creatures. Supposedly Peter is the figure of an ancient prophecy that would cause an uprising.

The movie is based off a line on page 53 in the original book written by Jane Barrie. Any lover of the book will find small enjoyable details brought from the book throughout the film.

Hugh Jackman, normally a good guy, is the villain in this rendition of Peter Pan.  He is happy to have the chance to do something different from his previous roles in other films and projects.

The movie opened in theatres October 9. I know anyone will enjoy the old story of Peter Pan and Tinkerbell and the adventurous tale of how it all began.
