In the game Dishonored, players play as Corvo, bodyguard to the Empress Jessamine Kaldwin (April Stewart, Wreck-it Ralph) and her daughter Lady Emily Kaldwin (Chloë Grace Moretz, Hugo). Players are soon put into a tutorial where they learn stealth by playing hide and seek with Emily and combat mechanics by protecting the Empress from a successful assassination attempt. Corvo is soon put into prison under false pretenses and escapes. Everything after that is to either help a resistance group or save Emily. The gameplay is fun and exciting leaving players with an option to either go stealth and kill very little or go commando and kill every enemy including guards, evil plants, or victims of a weird plague. The gameplay leaves players thinking that the game is an open world even after they beat the campaign, but it unfortunately wasn’t. The game ends after killing the final villain leaving players wanting more but not receiving more. Players are introduced to several powerful abilities but cannot fully upgrade them due to the quickness of the game. The game is fun to play but not very rewarding. I rate this game a solid 7.5/10. IMDb.com has an average rating of 8.5/10.
