Snapchat Spectacles overlook

The world of Snapchat has evolved and changed since the app was first released back in 2011. Recently Snapchat has come out with its revolutionary Snapchat Spectacles built with a camera lens allowing the wearer to capture 10-second long videos and of their surroundings. The Spectacles are simple to use, requiring only a Bluetooth and/or WiFi connection with any iPhone or Android smartphone in order to upload the footage. Snapchat aimed to create an overall fun appearance for their new gadget with a full-circle look matched with some LED lights around the rim that light up when video is being filmed. They also provide circular videos allowing them to be viewed from different orientations including landscape or portrait through the Snapchat app with a simple spin-of-the-phone. These spectacle sunglasses are not in the least bit meant for spying or sneaking around with a hidden camera. Snapchat really sought to bring out a new and entertaining way for its users to engage in its features. With this in mind, it is important to note that they are only able to sync up with the Snapchat app. The Spectacles are selling for the price of $130 and come packaged in a bright, yellow case that can be doubled as a charger. These new devices have proven to be difficult to obtain; currently, the only place to purchase the Snapchat Spectacles is through the vending machine called “Snapbot” which is placed in a different location every 48 hours. Others have chosen to endure the long line at the temporary pop-up store “Bot House” in NYC through New Year’s Eve.
