Samson Mosley, Staff Writer

At just the age of 17, Samson Mosley has experienced his fair share of both highs and lows, but throughout the trials and tribulations, he’s still found ways to get back on his feet and keep sight of the important aspects of life. His family, friends, education, and hobbies are the most important parts of his life, but the aspects of life he focuses on keeping sight of are part of a much larger picture. Keeping good faith, extending himself in kindness to others, and helping those in need once he has more of a chance to do so are the things he strives to achieve in hopes of being of service and making a difference in the world someday, even if it’s in a small manner. He loves positivity and gravitates toward those that exude positive energy. He also loves laughing and has a very peculiar sense of humor. He can’t put into words how much he loves laughing; it is quite simply just something his spirit needs. Also he finds reading and keeping himself in good shape to be activities he really enjoys. Books in particular provide a gateway for his love of learning as well as providing an opportunity for escapism. Furthermore, watching movies and TV shows contribute to his love of learning and also escapism. Any movie, TV show, or book that teaches him something he views as valuable or expands his way of thinking is amazing to him.

During this transitional period in his life, it is important for Samson to hold on to his values and the things that make him happy, and to stay in a good space as he becomes an adult. All of these factors help him to do this--to keep working as hard as he can to accomplish what he wants in school and in life.
