Crimson J

  • "The future belongs to those who prepare for it today." --Malcolm X
  • "Journalism allows its readers to witness history; fiction gives its readers an opportunity to live it." - John Hersey
  • "If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be."

Kate Alexander, Student Editor

If you know Kate Alexander, you know she is always on the go. She works two jobs and is involved in lots of different school activities. To name a few, she is a Crimson Mentor, student body vice president, and a Jacksonville J’ette. In her scarce free time, Kate loves to be outside; however, if it’s a rainy day you’ll probably find her watching Mamma Mia. Kate was heartbroken in 2015 when One Direction broke up and still listens to their music daily. Just like any sane person, she is a Swiftie and can talk to for hours about Taylor Swift’s album Lover. As of now, after high school she plans on going to college to get a degree in nursing and become a travel nurse. She is returning to journalism this year as a junior and is more than thrilled to be back. Kate hopes to inspire students with her writing and encourage others to join journalism.
