On September 16 on Jacksonville’s Alumni Field, two undefeated teams came across each for a long battled match. The game was evenly played with great chances from both sides. Senior captain Ryan May had to sit out this game due to a suspension in a previous match. However, Jacksonville had no troubles finding the net. The first goal came from Chilean exchange student Jose Raccousir and was assisted by AJ Underwood in the 22nd minute. Another score came from a cheeky left foot from captain Ty Rogers assisted by Steven Albers in the 34th minute. As it looked like the Crimsons were dominating the game, five minutes later Springfield High School’s Kaleb Cheung found one past Austin Enz’s net and made it 2-1 before half time. The rest of the second half was goalless but that doesn’t mean there was no excitement because there were yellow cards pulled out and a lot of ball hustle. In all, both teams played their hearts out but the better team came out on top with JHS continuing their winning streak and proving that they are the top dogs in the CS8. Much luck to the Crimsons in the rest of their season.
