Jacksonville Crimsons went strong as they played Sacred-Heart Griffin on Friday, September 21. JHS was defeated by SHG. The score was 21-6. A lot of students from JHS went to cheer on their Crimsons.
Sophomore Coutan Hillis comments on the defeat, “The seniors realized this was their last year against SHG and were really upset. But the JV players were ready for a shot at SHG the next morning.”
Quarterback Bryce Schnitker broke his ankle during the game. Senior Andy Mills filled in for Schnitker then sophomore Zac Lonergan took over for the rest of the game.
When asked how it felt to take over for Bryce, “I was pretty nervous at first but then it felt good after a while,” Zac Lonergan remarks.
