The long awaited football season has finally arrived! On Friday, August 24, the JHS Crimsons played the Lincoln Rail Splitters. The crowd went wild with excitement as the Crimsons made touchdown after touchdown. Students from JHS painted their bodies to show school spirit, and the crowd enjoyed the marching band performance. JHS defeated Lincoln 48-0, making their record 1-0.
When asked what pumped the football players up before a game, Coach Thrasher said, “The boys get pumped up from the idea of winning.” He also stated how he believes the football players are more than ready. Senior football player Harley Vanbebber said, “I get pumped up by just being with the other players and listening to music.”
The next football game on Friday, August 31 is an away game against Chatham-Glenwood.
