PDA means public display of affection! If you want to break it down more, you could say sticking your tongue down someone’s throat in public, or in this case, school.
Standing in the hallway, making out with your “lover,” and grabbing all up on them is not hot; maybe it is for the both of you, but it’s certainly not for the rest of us! Being at school might be boring for some people, but don’t spice up your day by bringing your personal life to school where everyone can see.
Falling in love at school isn’t impossible, but it’s not something that happens every day. Most high school kids’ form crushes but rarely do they fall in complete and utter true love while they are teens. “Oh I love you” and “You’re the one” is all fine and dandy to say, but keep it at home. That’s your business not anyone else’s, so please leave it out of school.
The bell rings at 3:14, so after that last bell rings and you’re out the door, your personal life can happen. I’m guessing it takes ten…fifteen minutes to get home; which leaves you at around 3:45 to be at your house with your boyfriend/girlfriend. From there you have 3:45- whenever you go to sleep to do everything personal that you have to do! School starts at 8:05, which being said during school hours focus on school.
Senior Andy Mills thinks, “PDA should be kept behind closed doors because it’s no one else’s business.” Well, Andy I completely agree with you! It is no one’s business but your own, so stop letting all of us in your personal life.
When you think of advertisements, do you think about someone trying to get you to look at their stuff…in the hallways?! Boyfriend/girlfriend or not, that’s a definite NO.
If you could get anything out of this article, I hope it would be to just walk to class. Don’t stop and hang against the wall to be “cool.” Stop being tardy to class, by not standing in the hall, making out with your person because for me it’s gross even if for you its romantic. Obviously we both have different opinions, but we can all get along by not having PDA!
