This past Friday, November 16, the much anticipated film of 2012, Breaking Dawn Part Two, was released at midnight. This movie is the continuing story from the 2011 Breaking Dawn Part One movie.
The Twilight Saga has become a phenomenon since the very first book, Twilight, was published in 2005. Since then, the author, Stephenie Meyer, has published three other books to complete the series; those include New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.
Breaking Dawn, being the longest book of the four, the movie producers had to portray the story in two movies. This movie, Breaking Dawn Part Two, the last of the movies, had fans lining up at the doors of the movie theaters waiting to see the final piece of the entire saga.
In this final film, Bella Swan, Kristen Stewart’s character, becomes a vampire. She learns how to hunt and control her thirst for human blood, as well as emit her shield to protect other loved ones.
When a cousin of the Cullens (the vampire family that Bella belongs to) is on the way to visit the Forks family, she sees Bella, Jacob, and a small child, Bella and Edward’s daughter, Renesmee. The cousin, Irina, mistakenly thinks the child was bitten by one of the Cullens to become an immortal vampire; however, that is not the case.
Renesmee is half human and half vampire. Edward is her father and Bella is her mother; the child was conceived and born when Bella was still human. Unfortunately, Irina tells the Volturi, the rulers of all the vampires, and they are disgusted by the news because that is a huge crime to commit if you are a vampire.
So the Volturi decide they must go destroy the vampire child. As the Cullens receive word of this they know they must gather as many relatives and friends as they can to convince them that Renesmee is harmless.
The Volturi eventually go to Forks to fight the Cullens but there is a big plot twist. See the movie in any close theatre to find out the rest of the story.
Overall the film was very good. I thought that Kristen Stewart did her best acting in this movie, showing more emotion and facial expressions.
Also, the movie was very dramatic and kept the audience hooked throughout the entire film. The film portrayed the book very well sticking to the storyline throughout.
“I thought it was very good. I felt like it was the best Twilight yet,” Claire Simonds said.
I think this movie was one of the best from all five. If you haven’t yet seen this final piece of the Twilight saga I recommend you see it soon!
