Toy Story 4; definitely not trash!

Julianne Wilson, Staff Writer

In the summer of 2019, a legend was born, Forky. You may not know what I am talking about if you have not yet seen Toy Story 4. The movie was released on June 21, 2019. Ever since, fans have gone wild. The Toy Story franchise came out of retirement for this sequel.

The movie is rated G so it is appropriate for the whole family. In the new Toy Story movie, Woody is being replaced. He forces his way into Bonnie’s bag but ends up being more of a toy babysitter. A new character is introduced to the Toy Story repertoire, Forky. Forky is a toy who prefers life in the garbage can. Woody has to keep Forky out of the trash to keep Bonnie happy. This movie is a crazy good adventure and great for kids. I also recommend that the old school kids see it, as it is so nostalgic. Toy Story 4 definitely deserves its 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The only downside to Toy Story 4 is the character Gabby Gabby. Gabby Gabby was quite creepy especially for the targeted age range. She was portrayed as a creepy doll but maybe a little too creepy. A character I loved was Little Bo Peep. I enjoyed her reappearance and her life update. I liked being able to catch up with characters like Bo Peep and see what has happened to them since Toy Story 3

The animation of the movie was crisp and colorful. The animators did a great job. The producers also did a fantastic job continuing the Toy Story legacy. The movie had a nice pace to it where one did not get bored but felt relaxed. I recommend anyone sees this movie. It is great for all ages; even your grandparents would enjoy it.
