Some curses were made to be broken.
Paramount pictures have partnered with producers Mary Parent, Raphael Kryszek and the Vampire Diaries Julie Plec to make Colleen Houck’s Tiger’s Curse a movie.
Colleen Houck is the author of the Tiger’s Curse series, which has four books in all: Tiger’s Curse, Tiger’s Quest, Tiger’s Voyage, and Tiger’s Destiny.
Tiger’s Curse is about an 18- year -old girl named Kelsey Hayes who has just graduated high school and is looking for a job. She finds one at the local circus where she has to help out with the white tiger named Ren. The more time she spends with Ren the stronger the connection becomes between them. Soon though a man named Mr. Kadam shows up wanting to purchase Ren. Mr. Kadam wants to take Ren to a tiger reservation in India where he will be very happy.
After meeting Mr. Kadam, she finds that he is very kind and gentle man. Kadam even tells her a famous Indian story about a Prince named Alagan Dhiren Rajaram, and what happened to him and his family. That is when Kadam asks her if she would like to go India with him so that Ren will be properly taken care of on the trip and at the tiger’s reservation. After much consideration and encouragement from her friends at the circus and her adopted family, she decides to take the offer.
When Kelsey arrives in India, she soon finds out that her tiger is actually a 300 year old cursed Indian Prince. He was the Prince that Kadam told about in his story. She learns from Ren that she is the only one who can help him break the tiger’s curse.
Now she must embark on an epic adventure to help Ren break the curse and help him regain his humanity, while having run-ins with Indian gods and goddesses. Together they will have to face incredible odds and have to battle evil forces that wish to keep them from reaching their goal.
Kelsey risks everything to help Ren piece together the ancient curse and find a way to break it forever.
Passion. Fate. Loyalty. Would you risk it all to change your destiny?
