The due date for submissions to the 2012-2013 Writing Talent Search, sponsored by the JHS National English Honor Society and the Regional Office of Education #46, is February 28 at 4:00 p.m. All submissions must be turned in to Mr. Chipman in room 406 by this time in order to be entered into the contest.
There are two categories in the contest, prose (creative writing) and poetry. In order to be admitted into the contest, submissions must be no longer than five pages in length and any submission longer than a page must have page numbers. All submissions must be typed in either 12 or 14 point font, double-spaced, without illustrations, and must be original work. No personal information, including names of schools, should be mentioned in the submission. All submissions must have a title. Only one submission is allowed per person.
Cash prizes will be given to those who receive first, second, and third place in the contest.
