  • "Journalism allows its readers to witness history; fiction gives its readers an opportunity to live it." - John Hersey
  • "If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be."

Ellinor Smith is a senior here at Jacksonville High School, but you can just call her Ellie. You may recognize her because she is always on the run… literally. She enjoys cross country and loves supporting her teammates. After running, foods that always keep her going include chocolate, Cheese Its, pickles, and olives. Special skills include (but are not limited to) doing a fish face while sticking out her tongue. In past years, she has also been a part of the REF program and girls soccer. Now, she turns her attention to National Honor Society, being a National English Honor Society officer, FCA, and participating in DECA. Ellie is not completely sure what the future holds, but she hopes to continue her college search. She can’t wait to see where her writing takes her!
