  • Congratulations, Mrs. Brammeier! YOU make a difference at JHS!
  • "If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be."

Amelia Symons is a 16-year-old girl who chose to take Journalism very last minute. She is a junior in high school and hopes to one day become a doctor or traveling nurse and travel to places all over the world. She hopes to attend college somewhere in Illinois or Missouri, preferably at the University of Missouri. Amelia chose to take journalism to expand her writing ability and to become a better writer, even if she won’t use it much in her career after school. She is a member of the Jacksonville High School Girls’ Tennis Team and has been since her sophomore year. She really enjoys playing on the team with some of her best friends and travelling to meets in the fall. On the weekends, catch Amelia hanging out with her friends and family, doing homework, as she is taking many AP classes, or working at Brown’s Shoe Fit. Stay tuned for some of Amelia’s work as the school year continues.
