Alice Webster, Student Editor
Alice Webster was often asked if she was crazy when she told people about her choice to take two core English classes her junior year. She swears she isn’t (debatable). She just wanted to analyze The Great Gatsby AND learn to write killer synthesis essays while writing articles every two weeks for journalism as well, all while continuing to read and write for fun in her scarce free time. Given her love for English, it’s no surprise that she was elated when asked to be the student editor of the Crimson J during her senior year. She plans to put her English talents to good use at the University of Iowa where she plans to double major in English with an emphasis in creative writing and theatre. She is currently a member of the JHS speech team and the vice president of our chapter of National English Honor Society. Alice also thoroughly enjoys singing, watching scary movies and sitcoms, swinging wildly between being the rational and irrational friend depending on who she’s with at the time, and petting any of her three purrfect cats.
