Karesha Buchanan, Staff Writer

Quiet, reserved, and unheard of by many, industrious student Karesha Buchanan is starting her last year at Jacksonville High School on a strong note. Her plans after high school include going to Chicago State Uuniveresity with a major in psychology and minor in communication. Many people can’t say they’ve had the chance to know Karesha, but the ones that have say she’s the most helpful and caring person, and that she’s truly unforgettable! With hobbies including binge watching Netflix series, going on walks, reading novels, eating way too many mini Starburst, and working (but mostly working); she also likes to spend her free time hanging out with her friends and family. This school year, she plans on finally showing what she’s made of with her first year position on the Crimson J school newspaper.  Whether it be reading articles, reports on different breaking stories, or just watching the news on TV, Karesha has always been drawn to the scene. Journalists make the world go round--news stories and articles wouldn’t be the same without reporters. One must be passionate to add that extra flair to a story for it to really catch the viewer's attention. Journalism and how the media works and functions has always been an interest of hers and she is thrilled to be working with such an amazing group of people and staff this year and can’t wait for the real fun to begin!
