Crimson J

  • "The future belongs to those who prepare for it today." --Malcolm X

  • "If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be."

Jaylen Heady, Staff Writer

Jaylen Heady is a senior here at Jacksonville High School and is a first-time writer for the Crimson J. When she is not sitting in her room rewatching One Tree Hill a million times or reading a cheesy contemporary novel, she can be found on the tennis courts as a varsity member of the JHS Tennis Team. You can always find her going to concerts with her best friends (her record is currently 25 shows), singing along to her favorite show tunes (despite the fact that she is tone deaf), and/or spending maybe a little too much time with her crazy family. She will also instantly love anybody who knows every word to any song by the Cheetah Girls and/or can recite the opening cheer in Bring It On. Due to her severe hatred of small towns, Jaylen cannot wait to attend a college somewhere new and exciting and plans to study English and Communication in hopes of becoming a magazine editor. She is excited for her first year contributing to the Crimson J and is looking forward to a great year!
