Crimson J

  • "The future belongs to those who prepare for it today." --Malcolm X
  • "Journalism allows its readers to witness history; fiction gives its readers an opportunity to live it." - John Hersey
  • "If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be."

Garrett Wardell is a sophomore who used to play football his freshman year, enjoys the company of puppies and other animals because he grew up on a farm outside of Galesburg, Illinois, and used to have a lot of hunting dogs and two cats. His plans after high school are unclear, but he really likes history so he's hoping he can become a historian. And he loves cheesecake so maybe he'll work at the Cheesecake Factory if he can't find a job where he wants. The reason he took journalism is because he thought that it would broaden his horizons and make him think more. He's not the best student, but he thinks that thinking more about other things and keeping his mind off of anything stressful by using journalism will help him live a stress free sophomore year. His favorite thing to do is be out of school hanging out with friends or just talking and meeting new people.
