Fresno State jumped out to a 10-0 lead. Utes head coach, Larry Krystkowiak,though let his players handle it instead of taking a timeout, and handle it they did. Utah used a 19-2 run to retake the lead and be up by some. The only lead that Fresno State would have in the game would be when they were up for :33 seconds at the beginning of the game. Utah would lead 33-22 at the break. The Utes would control the whole second half. Utah would end up winning the contest 80-69. This game ended Fresno State’s nine-game winning streak. Utah moves on to play Gonzaga in the second round.
