The boys’ basketball team got hot at the perfect time of the season, easily winning their first two regional games. Until March 2, that is, when the Crimsons played Chatham-Glenwood, losing 39-54.
Jacksonville defeated Civic Memorial (50-39) and Triad High School (52-41) on their way to the regional championship game.
“Even though we didn’t accomplish our goal of winning a regional, I was proud of the progress we did make in the season. I’m expecting big things from next year’s team,” says senior Rudy Pate.
The Crimsons ended the season with an overall record of 14-17 and a record of 4-10 in the CS8 conference.
