The girls’ track team has been running since February 7 to prepare for its season ahead. The first competition was on March 2 at Illinois College, where Breanna Rooney placed eighth from group of forty-six competitors.
“I feel pretty confident about this season, and the workouts are more challenging. I really think that this season could go pretty well,” said senior Ashley Rouland.
The girls’ next meet will be in two weeks at the Gene Armer Invitational in Champaign, where forty-two teams will compete.
