Christmas cheer

Christmas is a time to be happy. It is a time when families get together for their yearly traditions. Some people have traditions like Christmas caroling or other holiday activities. Some people may not even celebrate Christmas and celebrate something else or do not celebrate at all. I think they are missing out because it is definitely a great time of year. Too bad it only happens once and at the very end of the year too. But I guess that is one of the reasons why it is always so anticipated.
I think Christmas is the best holiday we have. One of the best things that comes with Christmas is obviously the gifts you receive. Last year, I got a new gaming keyboard and mouse for my computer. It might not sound like a lot, but together they cost around $300. A tradition my family has is filling our stockings up with candy. One time I received candy, as well as coal which made me laugh, but I guess I sort of deserved it that year. When I was little, I thought getting clothes sucked, but now I actually really enjoy getting clothes for Christmas especially hoodies and sweatpants. I do try to get my parents a Christmas gift just to return my thanks to them.
But Christmas is not only a time of giving and receiving. For my family, it is also a time to celebrate our religion, Christianity. My whole family gets together, and after we exchange gifts, we pray over our meal which is almost the size as our thanksgiving dinner. I think you should always do something nice for someone on Christmas, not that you have to buy a gift for them or anything of the sort, but do something that could brighten someone’s day and spread Christmas cheer.
